His concept brings together the best Austrian restaurant cooking in a sophisticated setting, surrounded by historic walls, yet with a nod to contemporary zeitgeist. From the outset – and in the future too – this is the perfect place for shared pleasure!
Gasthof Zur Post has always been a popular place for locals and guests to meet. As well as being the perfect holiday home for people from across the globe, special events and cultural performances are celebrated here too. Traditions we are very proud of. The “Faistauer Stüberl” is a nod to probably the most famous ‘son’ of the hotel, painter Anton Faistauer (1887–1930) . Special occasions are celebrated here and the best meals served in an atmosphere which is rich in tradition.

A beneficial sauna area is located on the second floor of our wonderful Gasthof and provides relaxing hours of wellness after fantastic holiday adventures in the natural surroundings. In summer, the natural swimming pond in the Post garden inspires too, providing some refreshing coolness on hot days.

As per requirements, an individual menu can be created to suit our guests’ preferences. The history of this impressive hotel sets the tone – this is a place filled with celebrations and pleasure. The large hall provides space for large family parties and cultural events, while the wonderful snugs tempt you to enjoy a convivial gathering. A total of 20 rooms offer the chance to stay the night in the heart of Salzburger Land. Extra: a wonderful Wellness area & extensive guest garden in the summer.
